Political discord amongst the troops is a scary concern that has earned the attention from many progressives as of late given recent doubt in elections.

Personally, we don't think the contests in flyover country are going to be close enough to merit much scrutiny.

Any institution -- such as the military, the police or even religious congregations -- develops its own internal culture. And if that culture is influenced by fact-free conspiracy thinking or radical ideas about race, for instance, members obviously are more likely to be drawn into extremism."
