
The local level of violence continues to rise and claims the life of a youngster as we approach the end of the year.
Unofficially, this is homicide #150 compared to 174 at this time last year, 143 in 2019 and 129 in 2018.
Sadly, 8 more killings and this will rank as the most violent month in KCMO history.

Tonight just after 7 PM officers were dispatched to the 7000 block of Agnes on an ambulance call, possible cardiac arrest. Upon arrival officers found a teenaged male outside of a residence who had been shot. EMS was on scene and transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. We do not have any suspect information at this time.
Detectives and crime scene personnel have responded to the scene and are actively canvassing for witnesses and processing the scene. If you have any information please call the Homicide unit at 234-5043. If you wish to remain anonymous you can call the TIPS hotline at 474-TIPS, with up to a $25,000 reward for an arrest in this case.

homicide 70th, agnes avenue SOURCE: KMBC Kansas City police said they are investigating a homicide Tuesday night near 70th Street and Agnes Avenue.Police said officers were called just after 7 p.m. to the 7000 block of Agnes Avenue on a person who was down and needed help.
