Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, the printed version of Thursday's Kansas City Star went to press on Tuesday night. This means two important news stories - updates on the future of Police Chief Rick Smith and the guilty verdict in the Georgia trial of the three men who killed Ahmaud Arbery - do not appear in the Thursday newspaper.
