Kansas City Journalist Mary Sanchez Earns Second Chance!!!

Just as our blog community predicted, amid ongoing newspaper decline and obsolescence, most of the former Kansas City dead-tree scribes are taking refuge at non-profit outlets.

Thankfully, Mary Sanchez is one of the lucky ones because she still gets to write about local stuff whilst mostly avoiding cranking out press releases begging for cash. At the very least, KC PBS only commits to groveling for about a month every year.

Here's a glimpse at the new gig which likely makes Ms. Sanchez happier than giving the goo-goo eyes to a KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS . . .

“Mary brings a tremendous depth of knowledge about the inner workings of Kansas City and an incredibly deep and wide source network,” said Chris Lester, managing editor for Kansas City PBS. “She will play a key role as we expand our civic affairs reporting and lean into the development of content around the new Flatland TV show. I am thrilled to welcome her aboard.”

This is a solid gig and TKC readers can probably take credit for it.

Our crackpot Latino theories and the strength of our street knowledge community-based insight need to be balanced by progressives and so many younglings they've recruited can't yet match up to the power of our blog fully operational journalistic battle station.

However . . .

Mary Sanchez is undoubtedly one of the most capable writer/reporter/pundits in Kansas City despite having her sense of humor surgically removed by The Star sometime around 1997.

It's not important if Big Bird was vaxxed by way of government mandate, and so we congratulate her on freebie content sharing finally turning into a something resembling a real job that's only dependent on a healthy supply of government assistance along with the generosity of strangers and viewers like you.
