Kansas City Hipsters Renew Love For Frogpond

Actually, this local bar band is QUITE GOOD and deserving all of the local accolades they're earning ahead of an upcoming comeback show.

Here's the problem . . .

Kansas City hipsters are so horrible that they'll BERATE MUSIC FANS for failing to have memorized the curriculum vitae and entire catalog of this band. Meaningless one-upmanship is a stupid tactic that's scorned in other cities that have more self-confidence but somehow, the practice remains a right of passage for audiophiles in this cowtown.

As always, TKC is here to help . . .

Frogpond has a great interview with 90.9 that's worth a look & listen . . .

And just now The Pitch scored an interview.

We compile this info without judgement in order to not only document local music returning to life in Kansas City but also because we love to help our blog community thwart hipsters and their trivial pursuits.

Exclusive: Frogpond's new album TimeThief premieres now(!)

After more than two decades, Kansas City rockers Frogpond return with a new album, TimeThief, releasing this week on local label Black Site. In the late '90s, the band's albums for Tristar Music and C2Records, Count To Ten and Safe Ride Home, were radio mainstays, and the band would pack clubs.
