43-year-old woman dies in November 9 shooting in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department is attempting to locate a 41-year-old man who hasn't been seen in nearly three weeks. Police said Christopher Rahsaan Williams was last seen on Thursday, October 28, leaving a residence near N. 80th Street and Garfield Avenue around 1 p.m.


Olathe School District OKs $295K in case of girl stalked by teacher

The Olathe School District secretly agreed earlier this year to pay $295,000 to the family of an elementary student who was stalked by a now-jailed former teacher. Olathe Public Schools finalized the settlement back in May to avoid a lawsuit by the family, but kept the settlement a secret until the Kansas City Star filed an open records request that revealed it.


Police request help locating missing Kansas City, Kansas, man

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department has requested help locating a man who was last seen on Oct. 28. Christopher Williams was last seen Thursday leaving his residence around 1 p.m. at 1903 80th St. in Kansas City, Kansas. Williams is 41 years old, about 5'5" and weighs 170 pounds.

Cassidy Rainwater's remains found on accused kidnappers' property, court docs reveal

DALLAS COUNTY, Mo.- According to court documents, Cassidy Rainwater's remains have been found on a property belonging to two men accused of kidnapping her and keeping her in a cage. James Phelps and Timothy Norton have been charged with first degree murder. They are also facing charges for abandonment of a corpse.
