Clay County Sheriff Suffers 'Destroy America' Facebook Hack

Internets pranksters caused panic on the nice side of the bridge recently.

Here's a peek at the damage and the "red scare" confronting the Northland . . .

The hacker replaced the profile picture with an image of former Chinese communist ruler Mao Zedong with the caption "DESTROY AMERICA" in all caps.

A second picture featuring what looks to be a large bomb superimposed on images of the Chinese flag and a mushroom cloud was uploaded shortly after.

Someone hacked the Clay County Sheriff's Facebook page and put up pics of a nuke and Chinese dictator Mao Zedong

CLAY COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -- The Clay County Sheriff's Office worked Monday morning to reverse a hack of their Facebook page that replaced their profile picture with a picture of former Chinese dictator Mao Zedong. The breach happened around 4 a.m., when someone put up the Mao profile picture with the caption, "DESTROY AMERICA," on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office is looking for a hacker, after someone took over it's Facebook page.According the the sheriff's office, the hack took place around 3 a.m. Monday.Someone posted an image of Mao Zedong, chairman of the Chinese Communist Party, with the words "DESTROY AMERICA."Another image of nuclear weapons was also posted.Some have called 911 dispatchers to notify them of the hack.
