Unprofessional and incompetent teachers aren't newsworthy . . . This town is filled with them.
However, the political spin reagrding a recent bit of KCMO high school scandal stands out . . .
"Students report the 10th grade English teacher was preaching about Christianity, then disparaging Muslims and LGBTQ+ people."
To be fair, the recorded remarks seems off-putting and have little educational value.
However . . .
What's more important about this episode is that students quickly moved to record the offense . . . AND THAT offers an instructive perspective for the future of this nation wherein every member of our society is busy documenting misdeeds and collecting evidence to support grievances.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - A teacher at Lincoln College Preparatory Academy High School has been placed on leave because of some controversial comments he made in class. Students report the 10th grade English teacher was preaching about Christianity, then disparaging Muslims and LGBTQ+ people.
