FIFA Vice-President Victor Montagliani and Chief Tournaments and Events Officer Colin Smith are in town this week. They will meet with Mayor Quinton Lucas and KC2026 bid co-chairs Clark Hunt and Cliff Illig, among others, to explore the possibility of a Kansas City-hosted World Cup event.

Kansas City is the first of eight cities in this leg of the evaluations. Site evaluators will be assessing the potential for FIFA Fan Festivals sites and available training facilities and stadiums.
