Kansas City Suffers Flooding As Water Rate & Tax Increases Await

Local drivers already know the streets are a mess right now after light rain throughout the evening and morning.

The rain won't be leaving until afternoon so its bound to get worse. 

Authorities have already reported multiple water rescues this morning.

Here's the political angle . . .

Mayor & council have already approved water rate spikes and another infrastructure bond (read: tax) rate increase is up for a vote . . . There's also an impending sales tax spike. None of this has merited much mention from our journalist colleagues who would much rather write about social justice.

However . . .

As the nation debates an infrastructure bill . . . So far local leadership on sewer repair has been horribly lacking and will threaten drowning locals today . . . Both in debt and for realz.
