Kansas City Priorities Exposed: Police Takeover & Money!!!

Kansas City elected officials remain committed to spending stimmy and activism against police if their recent agenda items are to be believed.

Here's just a bit of TKC research for the afternoon . . .

Check-it . . .

Kansas City's legislative major priorities and positions on matters for the 2022 session of the Missouri General Assembly.

First item and a campaign promise from council dude Eric Bunch . . .

1. Local Control. Oppose efforts to undermine local control for Kansas City and support Legislative action to return Mayor and City Council-led local control of the Kansas City Police Department rather than the current control of the Kansas City Police Department by a committee comprised of four members appointed by the Governor of Missouri.

That's not to happen but the list sent to the Beltway is more ambitious . . . Here's the first order of biz:

1. Municipal Aid: Support direct funding to aid cities whose budgets have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 economic crisis, particularly municipalities which have not received direct funding from the federal government under the CARES Act.

There's plenty of hilarious stuff in this list . . .

Look closely and notice a demand for "economic justice" and "green infrastructure" among the wishlist that might or might not help local taxpayers.
