Just when we thought we've heard it all when it comes to free money . . .

Apparently nice kicks are a human right.

It's not that I object and I'm sure the the people behind this effort have their heart in the right place, it's hot horrifically condescending . . . I'm just wondering if TKC will also be able to get a discount . . . More importantly, this bit of advocacy might provide a bit more insight as to why the Nike outlet on the Plaza moved following social justice riots.

Adults share how shoes increase confidence, self-esteem in the classroom

KSHB 41 News sat down with six students at Southeast High School in KCMO to talk about sneakers and why good-fitting shoes make a world of difference to young people. Days later, KSHB 41 sat down with several adults who explained how shoes can increase self-esteem and confidence in the classroom.


A superintendent's perspective on shoes

Superintendent Yaw Obeng looks for comfort above all in a pair of shoes. He says a good pair of shoes provides both figurative and literal comfort to students. KSHB 41's Gift of Sole campaign will buy shoes for students in need.
