KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- Kansas City police are currently working a standoff involving an armed barricaded party in the 11800 block of N Bellefontaine. Police were called to the scene just after 3:30 p.m. in regard to a disturbance involving a weapon. They also got calls for the same location of shots fired.

KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -- A nurse from Kansas City, Missouri, has been indicted for tampering with two Johnson County hospitals' fentanyl. According to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Kansas, 41-year-old Faith Naccarato has been charged with two counts of tampering with a consumer product and tow counts of possession of fentanyl by deception and subterfuge.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- A Kansas City man was sentenced in federal court Monday for the arson fire at Beyond Thee Four Walls Ministries Church. Christopher Durant, 39, was sentenced to 63 months in federal prison without parole. Durant must also pay over $143,000 in restitution to the church, insurance company and building owner.

'That was a massacre': Activists and victim's family urge witnesses to call police after triple homicide
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The search continues to find the shooter in a triple homicide in Kansas City, Missouri Saturday. Police have identified the victims as 24-year-old Kanen Wheaton, 23-year-old Johnnai Owens, and 24-year-old Devon Key. Officers were called near East 27th Street and Spruce Avenue for shots in the area.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police thwarted a potential threat at Lakeview Middle School after word spread on social media Sunday that a student planned to bring a gun to school.
