Silver Alert issued for terminally ill missing woman in KCMO

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Silver Alert was issued Monday for a terminally ill missing woman. Barbara J. Garza, 73, was last seen leaving her home Monday in a silver 2006 Hyundai Sonata. Garza, a Native American, is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 80 pounds, according to KCPD.

Olathe Police ask for help finding missing 13-year-old

KCK police investigating homicide after victim takes self to hospital in KCMO, dies

KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -- Kansas City, Kansas police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Sunday. According to the KCKPD, the shooting happened at 3:42 a.m. in the 2100 block of W. 42nd St. When police arrived, they found signs that a crime had occurred but were not able to locate a victim.

Independence police officer runs Boston Marathon in honor of Madrid-Evans

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - An Independence police officer and School Resource Officer was on a grueling journey to remember a fallen brother. Officer Jeff Nunn ran the Boston Marathon Monday in honor of fallen Independence Police Officer Blaize Madrid-Evans. Nunn ran the route wearing a special shirt that says "BlaizeOn" and finished in 2:57:14.
