Shooting victim dies after checking themselves into a KC area hospital, KCPD asks for help

Around 4 a.m. on Sunday Oct. 10, 2021, officers responded to the 2100 block of West 43nd Street on a shooting. They located evidence of a crime but were unable to locate a victim. At approximately 7 a.m. officers were contacted by detectives with the Kansas City Police Department advising them that a shooting victim had presented himself at a local hospital.
