Kansas City 2021 Homicide #121: Deadly Shooting At E.37th & Wayne Avenue

More gunfire erupts today in the urban core as police continue to investigate the latest Kansas City, Missouri killing.

Here's the first report . . .  

Homicide 1600 block of E. 37th St.

On today’s date, just before 9 PM, officers were dispatched on sound of shots in the area of 37th and Wayne. Upon arrival They found a male victim on the ground who had been shot. EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased.

Detectives and crime scene personnel have responded to the scene and are actively canvassing for witnesses and processing the scene. If you have any information please call the Homicide unit at 234-5043. If you wish to remain anonymous you can call the TIPS hotline at 474-TIPS, with up to a $25,000 reward for an arrest in this case.

KCPD: Man shot and killed near 37th and Wayne Avenue

Kansas City Missouri police are investigating a homicide near 37th and Wayne Avenue. Police responded to reports of a shooting just before 9 p.m. They found a man shot to death on the ground.Detectives are looking for witnesses. Anyone with information that could help is asked to call the Homicide unit at 816-234-5043 or the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.


One dead in Wednesday night shooting in KCMO

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One person was killed in a shooting Wednesday night in Kansas City, Missouri. Police say officers were sent about 9 p.m. on the sound of gunfire at East 37th Street and Wayne Avenue. Officers found the victim in the street.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- The Kansas City Police Department is investigating another homicide. According to information provided by the KCPD just after 9 p.m., it happened in the 1600 block of E. 37th St. That is near the intersection of E. 37th Street and Wayne Avenue.
