Dead Body Discovered Near Kansas City Illegal Dumping Ground

Right now authorities have defined this tragic scene as a "death investigation" but they're still asking for the public to help.

Here's the latest info . . .

Just before 9am, officers were called to the area of E 37th St and Oakley Ave in regard to a dead body.  The calling party, a city employee, was in the area to check on illegal dumping activity and discovered the victim and called 911.  Due to the circumstances, this is being investigated as a suspicious death at this time.

Our homicide detectives have responded to the scene as well as crime scene personnel.  They will be processing the scene for any evidence and canvassing for any potential witnesses.
