Agenda: New KCI Concessions Corruption Slap Fight Today

- The airport concessions deal is mostly a sketchy and secretive process. 

- Mayor Q has taken a beating over his heroics on the deal and might have even lost the support from the biggest law firms in town. 

- This isn't the end of it. Some sketchy, smallish firm doesn't walk away with a BILLION BUCKS just because the Mayor has a sizeable Twitter following.

KC leaders gear up for KCI concession fight at today's Council meeting

A couple of Kansas City councilmembers are not happy with how concession venders were chosen for the new KCI terminal, one calling the process "corrupt".


KCMO City Council expected to vote on new KCI terminal concessions contract

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City's full City Council meeting at 3 p.m. Thursday could deliver a conclusion to the contentious bidding process for a proposed 15-year concessions contract at the new Kansas City International Airport terminal. Vantage Airport Group, seen as the front-runner in the bidding process, released renderings of their proposal to KSHB 41.
