LEGAL FIGHT OVER NEW KCI CONCESSIONS COMING SOON!!!

New KCI was doomed to FAIL from day one and THIS WEEK was the turning point when the public finally stopped believing consultant happy talk.

Here's the insider deets that our journalist pals can't share yet . . .

Whilst a council bloc is doing their best to prop up the out-of-town non-union front runner . . . All of the other bids are repped by local law firms and power players.

To put it simply . . .

This crisis over New KCI concessions is nothing more than Mayor Q and a few of his council pals and a very ambitious consultant snubbing the local political & legal establishment on a billion dollar deal.

So of course the sharks are going to get involved because the consultant leading the effort has a longstanding reputation for avoiding hard work.

For now . . . 

There's still a myth that a billion dollar deal requires at least a modicum of effort in Kansas City.

All of this is above TKC's measly paygrade but that sentiment is somehow comforting. 

Accordingly . . .

EXPECT PETITIONS AGAINST NEW KCI AND A LEGAL BATTLE GIVEN THAT LOCAL LAW FIRMS SEEM CONFIDENT THEY CAN PREVAIL AGAINST AN OUT OF TOWN COMPETITOR!!!

Even worse . . .

The so-called front runner doesn't have very deep pockets and can't afford to get caught up in a prolonged a court fight.

The secretive bidding structure and Mayor Q's space-age zoom call quorum are just the start of complaints against this sketchy process.

Worst of all . . .

Kansas City politicos look sleazy fighting for this "friendly" deal against locals. 

The damage to the airport is worsening with every day.

At some point we expect that the adults (read: the airlines) will step in and work out a profit sharing deal for everyone. 

However . . .

It's worth noting that "urban" activists are already preparing another distraction that hurls racially charged rhetoric against members of council who oppose the mayor's rushed vote.

Apparently . . . The struggle for civil rights involves selling junk food and overpriced merch to tourists at the airport. 

But I digress . . . 

The point here is that the concessions deal is far from complete and forces more skilled and far better funded than the Mayor and his progressive friends are prepping their push back. 

Yes . . . Somebody is going to get called racist and locals will learn that legal eagle billable hours are the only thing more expensive than airport beer.
