Kansas City Homicide #110: Deadly South Side Shooting Overnight

Here's the aftermath report on last night's deadly shooting as we notice more people getting killed in the street as of late. 

Again, unofficially this is the 110th homicide so far this year compared to 146 at this time last year and 113 the year before that . . .

Homicide 9500 block of James A Reed

Just after 10:30pm, officers were called to the area of Bannister Road and James A Reed Road in regard to sounds of gunshots.  A few minutes later, a second 911 was received in regard to a shooting in the 9500 block of James A Reed Road.  Upon arrival, officers located a male who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

Homicide detectives have responded to the scene.  Crime Scene Personnel have also responded to the scene.  They will be canvassing the area for witnesses and collecting evidence at the scene.
