Kansas City Context: Deadly Nightclub Mass Shooting In Wichita

We start today with a report of another spate of gunfire in flyover country.

Last night Wichita suffered a horrific and eadly violence amid celebration.

And so we attempt to bring context . . . 

MASS SHOOTING IN THE MIDDLE OF KANSAS REVEALS THAT NOWHERE IS SAFE FROM GUN VIOLENCE!!!

Don't get it twisted . . . TKC absolutely supports gun rights and it's clear that a crackdown against firearms isn't going to work. 

This shooting stands out to TKC for more practical reasons . . . 

In the middle of red state Kansas and amid a po'dunk nightclub where any sort of "street cred" would be laughable at best . . . Horrific violence erupts nevertheless.

This teachable moment shows us that rising gun violence is now an endemic American crisis and not a trend confined "urban" areas or blue states.

Of course some of us have known this all along but the weekend massacre offers yet another reminder.

Club shooting leaves 1 dead, 7 injured in Wichita

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One person is dead and seven others are injured after a shooting at a club in Wichita. The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. at the Enigma Club & Lounge, according to NBC affiliate KSNW. Police said a disturbance led to a man being kicked out of the club.
