Top Cop Reveals KCPD Attrition Crisis


A law enforcement staffing problem that worsened during the BLM riots of 2020 has grown increasingly worse. 

Here's perspective from the Chief . . . 

"The officer leave rate has put the department in a tight spot," Smith said.

Reasons range from the traumatic nature of the job to someone moving to a job driving a truck, the chief said.

Again, there hasn't been much improvement over the past year and a GOP scheme to allow po-po to live outside city limits hasn't helped the ongoing problem.
