Like most Americans, Missouri Republicans are all over the place when it comes to the sordid topic of the COVID vaccine.

Yes, there is mainstream advice and agreement with medical pros in the media . . . And then there's some pretty entertaining theories . . . Some of which involve space aliens.

Here's a worthwhile guide to ambitious Missouri politicos and how they feel about the shot . . .

Two of five Republicans running for U.S. Senate said they had received their COVID-19 vaccine and that they encourage others to do so: U.S. Reps. Vicky Hartzler of Harrisonville and Billy Long of Springfield.

Two others didn’t respond to inquiries: former Gov. Eric Greitens and Attorney General Eric Schmitt.

And one — St. Louis attorney Mark McCloskey — said he was keeping that information to himself.

The diverging approaches underscore mixed views Republicans have had toward the vaccine, even as the more transmissible delta variant rips through the country.
