"Honored to serve as this year’s Grand Marshal for the 2021 Kansas City Pride Parade with my colleagues on the @LGBTQCommission!
"The parade kicks off tomorrow morning at 11 AM from Westport Rd. & Broadway Blvd! We plan on carrying the first progress pride flag to fly above @KCMO’s City Hall with us as well! We hope to see you there and happy pride weekend Kansas City!"
To be fair . . .
There are some critics of this event who hope that "pandemic Pride" doesn't hurt so many in the LGBT community who are immunocompromised.
Still, the event is outside with plenty of space for social distancing
