Kansas City Endures 5 Homicides This Weekend!!!

Increased COVID restrictions and lockdowns have coincided with an uptick in local killing.

Homicide 500 block E 105th St

Today just before 1pm, officers were called to the Extended Stay Hotel at 550 W. 105th St on a reported shooting.  Upon arrival, officers located a victim inside a room who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.  Police took one suspect into custody at the scene.

Detectives and Crime Scene Personnel have responded to the scene.  They will be speaking with witnesses and processing the scene for evidence.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One person has died, and another is in custody following a shooting at a south Kansas City, Missouri, hotel. Shortly before 1:00 p.m. police were called to a shooting at the Extended Stay America hotel near I-435 & Holmes in Kansas City.
