KANSAS CITY, Mo. - More than five months after an Evergy worker found human remains in a wooded area near 34th and Roanoke Road, detectives are now investigating it as a homicide. Police say that the Jackson County Medical Examiner's Office examined the remains that were found in March.

Police search for Independence Ave. CVS robber

The Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) is asking for the community's help identifying a robbery suspect. Just before noon on July 14, officers were called to the CVS located at 5901 Independence Ave. Officers contacted the employees, who advised the suspect produced a note to employees at the pharmacy counter instructing them to turn over prescription medications or people would be hurt if they did not comply.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- Three arrests have been made after a statue was stolen this week from Heritage Park. The statue was part of a tribute to Kansas City's origin. The 400-pound bronze statue is part of the Francois Chouteau Memorial. A parks employee noticed the statue was missing from a display with two other figures Wednesday.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police say they found the driver who plowed into the former Laugh-O-Gram studio early Saturday morning. Investigators said the driver hit the brick building near East 31st Street and Troost Avenue around 4 a.m. Saturday. They say the driver got out of the car and ran away before officers arrived.
