NextGen Help Shuts Down
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Salvation Army Children's Shelter near Midtown Kansas City, Missouri, will close on April 4, 2022. Changes in federal legislation to observe a "Family First" model led to the shelter's decision to close. These changes reduced shelter stays from 30 days to 14 days.
Guv Parson Cancels Alert
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Gov. Mike Parson is ending Missouri's state of emergency that has been in effect since March 13, 2020. Parson said Friday that in the nearly 18 months under the order, Missouri has responded to the COVID-19 crisis by providing unprecedented levels of resources and support.
KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) --- Lamar Johnson has spent more than 26 years in prison for a Missouri murder he swears he didn't do. A letter sent to Governor Parson on Friday calls on him to end a wrongful conviction based on a 1994 murder in St. Louis.
