TKC Readers: July 4th Shooting Spree Starts Season Of Violence

Last night we asked the TKC blog community about a recent spate of shooting and the homicide count enduring yet another uptick. 

The answers weren't reassuring.

Whilst this tragic prediction isn't very inspiring, it does help locals prepare for what's to come as politicos debate over money and social justice . . . An eye on the street level situation is also useful.

Person of interest in custody as KC police investigate 6 shootings that killed 1, injured 10

KANSAS CITY, MO - The sound of fireworks and gunshots rang out around Kansas City during a violent Fourth of July that stretched into the early morning hours Monday. A total of eleven people were shot in a little more than three hours. During the string of six separate shootings, one man died.
