Kansas City Sunday Funeral Home Double Shooting Reported

One again we're reminded the Kansas City disputes continue on into the afterlife . . . Here's a note on Sunday violence in the shadow of death:

"Around 5:15 p.m., several people were attending a funeral when family members became involved in a verbal altercation, which then turned physical. Several parties fired shots at each other in the large crowd in the parking lot. The victim arrived to an area hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds."

Around 5:15 p.m., several people were attending a funeral when family members became involved in a verbal altercation, which then turned physical.


One shot following funeral service outside of Kansas City funeral home

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) --- Police in Kansas City are investigating a shooting in the 1100 block of Bannister Road near Bannister and Troost. The victim is expected to survive the shooting, which was reported around 5:22 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Kansas City police crews taped off the area outside of the Serenity Funeral Home on Sunday evening.
