Amid concern over the surging delta plague variant, more infections and hospitalizations there has been a bevy of new "advice" about wearing masks.

Watching news might lead locals to believe that masks are an essential part of the new American dress code and the public is eager to comply with suggestions in order to protect their community.

However . . .

We don't mention this with any political motive in mind . . . We hope people who are immunocompromised and seniors still feel comfortable wearing them.

But there's no use denying reality or pretending that recent mask recommendation have FAILED to resonate with the public and it's up to public health officials and politicos to reworking their messaging in order to protect so many vulnerable locals.
