Kansas City 2021 Homicide #76: Deadly Shooting @ 40th & Willow

Tonight deadly gunfire echoed through the streets along with the sound of illegal fireworks. 

Here's the report and, unofficially, the 76th homicide so far this year compared to 97 at this time last year . . . Check-it: 

Just after 11 PM this evening officers were dispatched to the area of 40th and Willow in regard to a shooting. Upon arrival they found an adult male victim in the parking lot who had been shot. EMS arrived and pronounced the victim deceased. Witnesses stated they heard an argument and then the sound of shots. We do not have any suspect information at this time. Detectives are on scene actively canvassing for witnesses and crime scene personnel are processing the scene for evidence.
