LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. - As a Lee's Summit middle school teacher waited to learn his fate after being accused of using a racial slur in front of students, supporters rallied outside of the Stansberry Leadership Center.
The Lee's Summit School Board met in a closed session Tuesday to determine whether one of its teachers should be fired for using a racial slur.Joe Oswald said the slur twice, repeating for disciplinary purposes what a student had said.Many want him to keep his job.
