Dear Mayor Q: Where's The Budget For Cash Defunded/Reallocated From KCPD?!?

Whilst Mayor Q is debating the philosophy of municipal governance and legal theory, the people of Kansas City have always been more practical when it comes to cash.

And so, on the topic of police defunding, Mayor Q recently offered this inspiring tweet . . .

"Now, any reform, including one like here with a budget increase intended to enhance crime prevention and to break a status quo of unacceptable violence gets exploited by those who care little about inner city crime but care much about political gain from it."

Actually, more cash for cops and preventing crime sounds great. We totally support it.

However . . .

Our TKC blog community shares this retort one more time for the cheap seats and because Kansas City "journalists" are afraid to ask . . .

WHERE'S THE BUDGET FOR THIS 42 MILLION BUCKS WORTH OF CRIME PREVENTION?!?!

Because right now we've endured more than a month of nearly insufferable blathering about "accountability" and "transparency" from supporters of a controversial proposal who aren't sharing any of the deets and don't want to debate an EPIC plan that has already commandeered MILLIONS.

We'll wait for the budget but won't forget that our blog community asked FIRST and loudest.
