Another Kansas City Homicide Scene Near The Alcazar

This morning's latest murder scene is only one block away from a future streetcar stop that's going to bring untold human misery.

And, of course, it's near a current flop house that is responsible for a great deal of the crime near Midtown this Summer.

This is the 86th KCMO homicide so far this year compared to 110 at this time last year, 81 in 2019, 70 in 2018 and 85 in 2018.

Here is the report . . .

About 03:45 this morning officers were called to an apartment inside 105 W. 39th st. On an ambulance/EMS call.

The caller found an unresponsive adult male inside an apartment there and called for police.
The victim, an adult male, was declared deceased at the scene.

Preliminary investigation has led detectives to believe the death is not natural and circumstances are suspicious.

Further investigation is underway along with crime scene investigators and the medical examiner to determine cause of death and additional circumstances.

Detectives are canvassing for witnesses and processing the scene now.

If anyone in the area heard or saw anything this morning they are asked to call Homicide detectives at 234-5043, or the TIPS hotline anonymously. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to arrest in this case.
