We notice Westport and all of Midtown has definitely become A MUCH ROUGHER PLACE after the COVID-19 pandemic. Some expect the reopen to soften the party district along with a slew of new housing. However, cuts in benefits and greater economic disparity have rarely had a calming effect.

Westport to resume enhanced security

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Westport will resume its enhanced security screening on Friday and Saturday nights beginning this week. Five checkpoints will be set up around the district's pedestrian-only zone, according to a news release, and will be operational from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. through an undetermined date in October.
