Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker, in response to Tuesday's decision by the Supreme Court to not hear Kevin Strickland's attempt to exonerate himself, issued this statement Wednesday:

"We are disappointed. But we are pursuing all avenues of exoneration for Mr. Strickland."

The Missouri Supreme Court decided Tuesday they would not hear Kevin Strickland's case, but Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker said she would continue to pursue justice in Strickland's attempt to exonerate himself.The Jackson County Prosecutor's Office - along with the Midwest Innocence Project and international law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner - have been calling for the release of Strickland for months."We are disappointed," Peters Baker said on Wednesday.
