KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Grecian Gill said the toxic work environment at the Kansas City Veterans Affairs Medical Center forced her to file a federal discrimination and retaliation lawsuit against them. Gill was fired from her job last year and spoke out about it on Thursday.

A former employee of the Kansas City VA Medical Center has filed a federal lawsuit claiming racial discrimination at the facility.It is the latest discrimination lawsuit against the center after at least two filed last year.Grecian Gill alleges her VA manager fired her last year after she filed harassment complaint against a white VA police officer.She also said her decision to leave work early during a severe winter storm, while other white employees were allowed to leave, stacked against her during her probationary period."There needs to be some major changes," Gill said at a news conference Thursday.
