Kansas City Testimony Against Tiny Homeless Village Locked Down

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas has touted "accountability" and "transparency" throughout his administration but those principles don't seem to apply to his most controversial legislative efforts.

INSIDERS ARGUE AGAINST MAYOR Q LOCKING DOWN PUBLIC TESTIMONY AGAINST THE TINY HOMELESS VILLAGE ZONING NEW RULES!!!

We've heard the outcry but wanted to share proof of public sentiment put down with a glimpse at the local legislative history of the sketchy policy . . .

Notice key votes to quickly move to the business session without any in-person comments from the public. There's not even a record of a zoom call we could find at the time of publication.

To be fair, there are written comments included with the legislation but mostly hidden from public view.

Here's a better perspective from insiders . . .

"Mayor Quinton Lucas is now operating like he's a king or a dictator. In two of the most controversial decisions of his administration he has overlooked, ignored or prohibited commentary from the public. He only seems concerned with council support and could care less about what the voters think . . . He's operating like a mayor for the homeless and BLM protesters. Of course he's backed up by The Star . . . But who is going to represent the taxpayers and homeowners who pay the bills for these efforts??? That's another one of many questions that neither Mayor Lucas nor his supporters have answered."
