Kansas City Radio Tacitly Admits Rampant Illegal Sports Betting

Inspired by hottie Kate Upton . . . I recently took a chance on some Skullcandy headphones and it turned out to be a decent investment.

However, I'm not sure gambling online with have the same kind of payout and might worsen local addiction and tragic consequences like home foreclosures. 

Nevertheless, that doesn't stop a local radio station from putting betting insight on blast for the plebs.

Local radio station KWOD-AM, formerly known as 1660 The Score, will rebrand as The Bet 1660 AM. Its owner, Philadelphia-based Audacy, formerly known as Entercom Communications Corp., rebranded seven of its stations nationwide to focus on sports betting programming.

Audacy owns eight Kansas City radio stations. The rebrand of Audacy's stations nationwide created a platform for users to learn more about the growing market of sports betting, a practice that remains illegal in Kansas and Missouri. Bills have been filed in both state legislatures to legalize it, but none have passed.
