KANSAS CITY POLICE UNION OFFICIALS WARN: DEPARTURES DOUBLED OVER PAST YEAR!!!
As the pandemic comes to a conclusion, we can't just blame this stat on plague . . . Especially given that that the departures continue as COVID numbers improve.
Instead, we take police at their word when they lament the lack of support from 12th & Oak.
From a public post, here's the word for those who haven't seen it already . . .
"Another sworn signed retirement paperwork today. 64 Sworn have turned in their paperwork to leave so far this year. Over double any precious year on record. Intentional defunding of 54 million dollars by the council, combined with associated morale issues, helped create a crisis that will take at least a decade to fix."
