Kansas City Father's Day Open Letter . . .

Tonight we take a quick peek behind the scenes and share a brief personal aside . . .

It's our bloggy tradition to post "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" every Father's Day . . . Some more avid readers mistakenly believed this was a reference to a tumultuous relationship with our dad.

Not so.

In fact, we feel comfortable sharing that TKC's dad wasn't anything close a rolling stone and is actually one of the more straight laced people we've ever known who doesn't drink, stopped smoking decades ago and worked way too hard throughout his career . . . Often going MONTHS without a day off; AND THEN taking that day off to spend most of his time working on home improvement projects.

However, he did have a penchant for Motown. And he hummed this tune constantly, I always thought it was his theme song.

We'll share a look & listen for old time's sake . . .

And so . . .

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY KANSAS CITY!!!

We've never "slipped one past the goalie" but we respect those who have and earn the title of Father, Dad or Papa.

And now the open letter portion of our last post of the day . . .
