Water testing underway at Brush Creek in KC to determine what killed 100+ fish

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is conducting testing at Brush Creek in Kansas City to determine what killed dozens of fish in the area. A fisheries biologist counted more than 100 dead carp and more than 75 dead small sunfish on Monday.

Health advisory issued for creek in Overland Park because of sewer line break

The Johnson County Department of Health and Environment has issued a health advisory for a creek in Overland Park after a sewer line break.The JCDHE said people living between 123rd Street and Metcalf Avenue and 123rd and 124th streets and Roe Boulevard in Overland Park are asked to stay away from the creek water in the area until further notice.
