Kansas City 2021 Homicide #68: Deadly Assault Victim Found On Front Porch

Update to a crime scene earlier this Spring and the latest addition to the ongoing and tragic Kansas City murder count.

Again, unofficially, this is the 68th homicide so far this year compared to 83 at this time last year. 

Here is a comprehensive report . . .

In the early morning hours of 04-28-2021, officers were called to the 3600 block of E 29th Street on a reported EMS call. Upon their arrival, officers located the victim unresponsive on the front porch of a residence. It was initially believed the victim was unresponsive after suffering from an emergency medical event. The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS. Later in the day, investigators learned the victim had been assaulted and the investigation has been ongoing. 

On 05-21-2021, the victim died at the hospital. On 06-14-2021, the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the victim’s death a homicide. The victim has been identified as Terry Brown b/m 06-10-1958.
