The life of Satchel Paige would make a better biopic than most of the other schmaltzy cinematic baseball fare. Joe DiMaggio once said he was the best player he ever faced.

Kansas City is looking for someone to save Satchel Paige's home. The city issued a request for proposals to restore and redevelop the home that once belonged to the legendary Negro League and Major League Baseball pitcher. The 111-year-old house has sat vacant since about 2004.
