Kansas City Streetcar Avoids Turning East

The sketchy mode of transit pushed forward by rigged mail-in ballots and a gerrymandered election has always sold itself as an economic engine and driver of development.

Accordingly, turning to the East side might actually offer more access to lower income communities and entertainment districts that are otherwise dangerously isolated.

Given that it's all paid for by "free money" the direction of the toy train is totally up for grabs.

And so, the nice side of the bridge seems to be making a play for inclusion in this scheme that lacks a great deal of "diversity" and "equity" despite hipster support.

North Kansas City, Streetcar Authority assess extending line over Missouri River - Kansas City Business Journal

Costly plans to extend the streetcar across the Missouri River into North Kansas City were "put on a shelf" years ago. Local officials say they could capitalize on streetcar momentum in Kansas City and potential federal funding opportunities to bring that route into being.

  2. Dangerously Isolated? Or merely Dangerous.

  3. This proves it's just a carnival ride and not real transportation.

  4. Eastside 'dangerously isolated'??? Try just flat out dangerous.

  5. Run that sucker down to "east crossroads" aka 18th and Vine and see what happens. They'll have to have SWAT units riding the rails to tamp down the black violence.

  6. The sketchy mode of transit pushed forward by an election district legally allowed under state law, which could be changed if enough people didn't like it, but I guess the vast majority is good with it has always sold itself as an economic engine and driver of development.

    There.

    Fixed that for you.

Don't like the law, Tony? Have it changed. It's legal.

  8. Maybe it could turn east if they would stop shooting everyone and stop surrounding white people when they enter into their pissing ground.

  9. lol sending it east would be the dumbest thing in the world. That said, I fully expect them to do just that

  10. As if the “street car authority” will build a bridge over the river. That thing wasted hundreds of millions even though precious little engineering involved as it runs 100% within grade and right of way of existing streets.

No this would cannibalize an existing auto traffic bridge, the heart of America bridge, likely, and northland drivers would be highly pissed to slow down for five seconds maneuvering around the slow silly toy train as they whip around on freeways, one per vehicle. Including northlanders like mike Burke who grift their way to tremendous wealth using the streetcar bureaucracy

  11. It's too bad the Eastside criminals aren't isolated. They seem to find their way to P&L, Westport, the Plaza and other places pretty easily.

  12. I can walk faster from River Market to Union Station than take the street car.

So Tony thinks the streetcar vote was rigged by mail-in ballots but not the presidential election? Wake up T, they both were rigged.
