Russell Hill was raised to mind his own business. Apart from signing a few petitions here and there, the Independence, Missouri, resident had never gotten involved in any social movements. That changed last May when the 39-year-old, and the rest of the world, watched video of a former Minneapolis police officer murder George Floyd.
