Kansas City 2021 Homicide #58: Woman Shot Dead After Argument

A domestic dispute sparked the latest local murder and keeps this year's homicide count close to last year's record pace.

Officers were dispatched to the area of 37th and Gillham in regard to people arguing and then the sound of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers found an adult female inside of an apartment at the location suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel. One subject of interest was taken into custody at the scene.

Again, unofficially, this is the 58th homicide so far this year compared to 64 at this time last year.
