Investigation file for Britt Reid crash subject to protective order

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The investigation file for a crash involving former Kansas City Chiefs coach Britt Reid will be "subject to a protective order" - and only made available to the attorney representing the family of a 5-year-old girl who was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury - until the criminal case has concluded.

More special privilege crap for a Chiefs employee. It means the report has some really nasty news in it.

  2. The media in this town is scared of covering the Chiefs without kid gloves. They don't want to be Kevin Kietzman, thrown out on your rear for telling the truth and doing your job.

It's a shame. Carl Peterson would be proud and would have loved the control the team has on the media now a day.

  3. Local Sports Talk is a joke as they slobber on the Chiefs and KU.

No preparation whatsoever as it is like listening to a Middle-School sports talk show where they just woke up and talk about whatever is in the KC Star that morning about the Chiefs.

Let's interview Tim Grunhard so he can repeat the same boring shit he has for the last 20 years; tell the same Marty and Lou Holtz stories for the 500th time. Or, interview Frank Boal for the insomniacs in the listening audience. Or, Steven St John will tell us what he had for dinner last night or his boxing prowess when in reality he had only one fight. No thanks.

They never tell the whole story such as covering KU paying off player agents to go to KU, million dollar shoe contracts, FBI investigations or instances like the Brit Reed DUI causing major brain damage to the little girl.

East coast sports talk is awesome as they really dig into the teams and provide league wide coverage and analysis. Thankfully we have Sirius radio.

  5. To keep the case secret until after the trial is normal, but this is another reason to boycott the NFL. We watched Patrick Mahomes promote drunkenness and lawlessness in public and then this guy goes and steals a little girls life simply because he is an entitled ignorant mental. Sickening.

  6. ...or the prosecutor requested the protective order so as not to create a wave of publicity and speculation that would jeopardize the case. Everyone has been screaming cover-up since this happened, but the guy has been changed.

  7. 8:24, unless there's a racial angle to the story, local media will not be interested.

  8. Prediction: Britt Reid will be head football coach for an NFL team in 5 years.

  9. don't get it. Reid ran into the parked vehicles. He tested .113 way over the legal limit. He destroyed a young girls life. He was forbidden by nfl rules to be at a bar or restaurant at the time. He admitted to taking adderall. Blood tests taken and verified. Girl is permanently disabpled. They won't release the report because witnesses are UNDERAGE? YOU DON'T NEED WITNESSES ..THIS IS AN OPEN AND SHUT CASE. And there will be a trial? for what? Reid admitted driving drunk and many saw him hit the parked vehicles. NO NEED FOR A TRIAL!!!!!!! So why hold up the report. Redact the underage witnesses names. question i have if reid was not at a restaurant or bar was he drinking at arrowhead and who was with him. I thought they said he was "leaving" arrowhead...not coming from a bar where he had 2 or three drinks. AND ADDERALL...THAT ONLY DOUBLES THE EFFECT OF ALCOHOL...SORRY FOLKS..SOMETHING IS FISHY AND NO KC SPORTS REPORTER WANTS TO GET CREAMED LIKE KIETZMAN WAS. ERIC..GET READY.

  10. Chiefs players promoting drinking and drunkeness at the Super Bowl parade; especially Mahomes and Kelce.

    Now Britt Reed.

The billionaire owner's daughter poses for slutty pictures.

    NFL has become a joke.

  11. If Britt Reid gets gets judge Torrance then maybejust probation

That’s what judge Torrance gave a rich white kid drunk driving defendant who ran over a pedestrian. Horrible injuries. The man lost his leg. A homeless man.

Jackson county circuit judge Torrance did that, about eight or ten years ago or so.

  12. Kevin Kietzman, Kevin Kietzman, Kevin Kietzman. Remember the guy who had the most popular yet hated sports talk show in the city? The guy who was the only water cooler show in town? The guy who was fired from his own station because he dared tell the truth about Andy Reid and the Chiefs? The rest of the media don't want to be him. Losing their job, now doing a podcast in hope of getting back on the air.

Sure my guess is KK will be back on the KC airwaves soon. Having KK at 710 on the 2-6 spot would be very interesting. But what about Bukaty, or St. John, or whomever if they decide to go after the Chiefs? They would have to go to another market and start all over or work a normal 8-5 job. That's it.

  13. Keitzman is and was an ignorant douche, not a hero. Don't paint him as Woodward and Bernstein.

  14. This is not about protecting the integrity of the case. It's about protecting Clark Hunt and Andy Reid. The documents will include where the alcohol was consumed... which was likely One Arrowhead Drive. You cannot tell me this is not a huge distraction for the team... or at least two of the most key people in the organization.

  15. Some great and true posts on here. The KC TV media is horrible compared to other markets. They have latched on to the Woke message which turns many viewers off. I tried watching local news last week and it was pathetic both sports and otherwise.

  19. Sealing records associated with a high profile case until after the trial, in order to reduce the liklihood of undue prejudice, is rather commonplace. My god, you guys see boogeymen around every corner, and Tony has become an expert at using it to increase clicks. Congrats to Tony for becoming a master of his craft.

You Marxist Democrats are hilarious with your "without prejudice"

Was the Police Officer Chauvin trial "without Prejudice" when Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Diaper Joe Biden are telling BLM / ANTIFA to burn down Minneapolis if Chauvin was found innocent of killing drug dealer, counterfeiter, home invader, porn star, pregnant woman assaulter Saint George Floyd ????
