TKC MUST SEE!!! WEST BOTTOMS REAL ESTATE PRON HOPES TO ATTRACT THIRSTY KANSAS CITY HIPSTERS!!!

It's more expensive but easier to develop a personality by way of buying stuff.

Here's a glimpse at a repeated local offer to live in a trendy part of town in the company of hobos and junkies with that a real estate market boom will provide ample company before prices spike and invariably drive out all the truly noteworthy inhabitants.

And despite grouchy blogger chatter, the pix are still pretty nice . . . Check-it:

West Bottoms Housing

Project Details The West Bottoms Flats are a market-rate housing project in the West Bottoms area of Kansas City, Missouri, that have transformed three historic warehouse and manufacturing buildings into apartments, micro-retail, and indoor/outdoor amenity space.

  1. This is a great idea and going down to the west bottoms was fun during the antiques sale, but it isn't a reality until the city gets strong leadership in who will clean up the mess, like crime and drugs. I really don't think that will happen so it's another dream up in smoke. Really sad.

  3. I wouldn’t advise anybody living in those rickety ass old brick buildings, they are dangerous.

  5. Nobody remembers the floods? Union Station was "relocated" to its current location because the old building was always underwater and trains could not move. Its a rat farm down there. But cute blondes from JOCO will move there, you know the bimbos, and crime will get them! Stay south and stay happY!

  8. That area can flood up to 15 feet deep in certain weather conditions. Serious. Its in a Federal flood plane.

  9. If a moderate earthquake ever hit, those brick buildings would shake apart in no time

It's been what, 60 years since this was a fully working stockyard?

And it still reeks of cattle each and every day the temperature is over 80 degrees. That's not going away anytime soon. Nothing says "Prime Real Estate" like the literal scent of bullshit.
