Jackson County Review Process
Apparently, the office of Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker is reviewing the Britt Reid case for possible charges next week. What happened to that girl and her family is horrible and he should be held accountable if they determine probable cause exists to arrest and charge him.
This case got a lot of media attention, particularly because it was the week of the Chief’s Super Bowl match-up.
Will this case be given priority though for its review over the current 20 homicide cases sitting at the Jackson County Prosecutors Office? 20 cases that have suspects identified but not yet arrested and still on the streets.
One of your recent posts highlighted the fact that since August of 2020, there have been at least 15+ homicide cases awaiting review for charging at the Prosecutors office.
